“The Jersey Shore Is Open” Business Networking and Red Carpet Event, organized by Jersey Shore Premiere Events, took place on April 23rd, 2014 at Connolly Station in Belmar. The event was hosted by Rosa Davis and Chris Fotache and attended by about 150 guests, mostly local small business owners. The goal was to bring local entrepreneurs together, in order to strengthen the business community and kickstart the 2014 summer season for Jersey Shore businesses.
Part of the proceeds benefited Dottie’s House, a non-profit providing transitional housing and supportive services for women & children survivors of domestic violence.
Grace Hanlon, director of the NJ Division of Travel and Tourism, welcomed everybody to the shore, and said she’s confident this will be a great season for tourism, surpassing the past years. Bob Hilton, the President of the Jersey Shore Conventions and Visitors Bureau, added to it urging guests to support the local businesses in the Monmouth and Ocean counties, since most of them are open now and ready for customers. Another special guest was Monmouth County Freeholder Tom Arnone, who spoke about the Grow Monmouth initiative, which tries to bring businesses and county officials together for everybody’s benefit.
Involved in planning and organizing the event were sponsors John C. Conover Agency, ServPro of Freehold/Middletown, ShoreVacations.com, Eco Awnings and Van Nortwick Properties, Mario Marcal Studios, Tru Colors Cinematography and Instinctive DJs. Red carpet host was “Rockin” Robyn Lane, from WRat Radio 95.9.
