Morey’s Piers & Beachfront Water Parks located on the boardwalk of the Wildwoods, NJ is debuting two new family-friendly events to its summer-long calendar. First up is the new Arts & Music Festival premiering over Father’s Day weekend on Adventure Pier from Saturday, June 17 through Sunday, June 18, 2017.
During the Arts & Music Festival guests can explore artBOX, the interactive artists’ colony crafted from 11 re-purposed shipping containers, meet local artists, take art classes, listen to live musical performances and DJ sets, and feast on boardwalk eats and drinks. Two new gallery experiences will be unveiled at artBOX and kids can get artsy with a Kids Yoga and Paint Party. And, there’s a Father’s Day bonus: Dads ride and slide free on Sunday, June 18. Also new this summer on July 28, Morey’s Piers will host “Your First Mud Run,” the only mud run in the country that is designed for parents and kids to complete together. Beginning at 10:00am, the under two-mile course will feature more than ten obstacles that are designed for adults and kids. Tickets are $48 per person and include a one day pass for free admission to Morey’s Piers Raging Waters Water Park and Ocean Oasis Water Park and Beach Club.
The fun at Morey’s Piers continues all summer long with the return of annual events including:
- “Third Thursdays” at artBOX will be held July 20 and August 17 from 6:00pm to 10:00pm at artBOX on Adventure Pier. “Third Thursday” events provide opportunities to mingle with resident and visiting artists, take art lessons, and enjoy live entertainment. Each event will feature a painting party hosted by Artist of the Rocks, complimentary beer and wine, glass blowing demonstrations, discounts at the artBOX store and more. - Morey’s Kids Kamp – Morey’s Piers is hosting a five-day summer camp from July 10-14, 2017. The full-day camp adventure features arts and crafts, fitness sessions, snacks, swimming at Morey’s Water Parks, as well as an array of educational activities with qualified instructors. Educational programs include: a behind the scenes tour of Morye’s Piers, Ecology, Culinary and Nutrition Workshops and a First Aid and Safety class. Morey’s Kids Kamp runs from 8:45am – 4:00pm and is available for children ages six to 12. The cost is $149 per camper and includes all activities, healthy snacks and Morey’s Kids Kamp Swimming Rashguard. - Boardwalk Bunk-Down – Morey’s Piers sets up camp on Surfside Pier on Saturday, September 23 for an outdoor sleepover that extends the amusement park overnight. From 12:00pm to 3:00pm campers pitch their tents and unroll sleeping bags before indulging in a full day of rides and amusements on Mariner’s Pier. At night, families can cuddle together under the Great White roller coaster for a movie under the stars and complimentary popcorn, or visit the s’mores and cocoa station to toast marshmallows. A variety of popular boardwalk games will be open from 8:00pm to 11:00pm. The next morning begins with a complimentary continental breakfast and coffee station available from 8:00am to 9:00am. Tickets for Boardwalk Bunk-Down are $49 per person if purchased by May 31; $55 per person from June 1 through July 31; $61 per person from August 1 through September 20. Tickets must be purchased in advance. Discounted tickets of $40 per person are available for all season pass holders; must present valid season pass at event check-in.
