The charm and ambiance of Ocean Grove are reflective in the authentic Victorian architecture of their hotels, B&B’s, shops and homes. Summertime is one of the best times to visit Ocean Grove because of their giant flea markets, arts and craft shows, guided historical walking tours and house tours. Ocean Groves’ Historical Society tour also offers a glimpse into the unique style of tent living at this beach town.

Strolling the boardwalk or catching rays on the beach is a perfect way to relax and enjoy the town of Ocean Grove. Fun beach activities are available for the active beachgoer,such as volleyball, kite flying contests, boogey board & inner tube races and sandcastle contests. Although many visitors would rather spend their lazy summer days reading a good book or drinking iced tea on the wrap around porches of their Victorian style B&B.

 

Taking a walk down Main Avenue offers visitors the opportunity to browse the many quaint gift shops and antique stores. A late afternoon visit to a bookstore or music shop can only be surpassed by the discovery of the perfect purchase at a small boutique or fragrant soap shop.

In 1976 Ocean Grove was given the honor of being included in the National Register of Historic Places. This national historic treasure is known as “the Jewel of the Jersey Shore” with the largest grouping of authentic Victorian buildings in the country. Ocean Grove is a must see for any Jersey Shore visitor!

She consistently brought a special warmth, caring, insight and humanity to her stories and her reputation flourished with on sight reporting about Hurricane Sandy, homelessness and Tent City, pervasive hunger in New Jersey, and Jersey’s iconic music and film scene. She is the epicenter of what’s happening around the county and state. Almost evolutionary, TaraJean went on to co-host NJ Discover LIVE radio and cable TV and still manages time (quintessential juggler) to be Reporter, SpokesModel, Copywriter, Producer, Journalist and now Sr. Editor for Fashion Haunts Magazine.
