Researchers there said they expect this season to improve modestly thanks to an economic recovery that has helped consumers recover some of the wealth they lost during the recession.
Early signs bear that out. Traffic for ShoreVacations.com, a website that markets about 350 homes from Monmouth County to Cape May County, is 30 percent higher than last year, although not back to levels it saw in 2012, owner Chris Fotache said.
