Atlantic Frightlands Halloween Party in the Park and Haunted House Tour

Atlantic Highlands becomes Atlantic Frightlands this October, with a Halloween festival on October 19 and haunted mansion tours on October 25-26

Two weekends of Halloween festivities are about to come to the historic town of Atlantic Highlands. On October 19th, 25th and 26th, 2013, Atlantic Highlands, a charming Victorian town nestled along the hills of the Jersey Shore, Jersey Shore Halloween Events: Atlantic Highlands Frightlandsinvites the community to enjoy several exciting Halloween events.  Beginning October 19th at 1pm and ending at 5pm in Veterans Park, the newly formed Atlantic Frightlands committee will be the host of an afternoon of live music by Plato Zorba, games for children, costume contests for both adults and kids, exciting side show circus acts, a First Avenue Scavenger Hunt, free pumpkin painting contest, Tarot card readers and food from the local restaurants.  Local stores and restaurants along First Avenue will be participating by decorating their businesses to complete the transformation into Atlantic Frightlands – New Jersey’s “Halloween Central”.

Following the October 19th  Halloween festivities, is the annual and extremely popular haunted tour at the Strauss Mansion, October 25 & 26 at 6pm, 27 Prospect Circle, Atlantic Highlands.  This year, the Atlantic Frightlands Committee will be joining in this haunted tour to bring the audience an even more exciting and frightening tour of the Strauss Museum by adding a slew of new special effects for 2013.

The goal of the Atlantic Frightlands committee is to raise awareness of various organizations and businesses in Atlantic Highlands.   Funds raised from these two events will support the Atlantic Highlands Arts Council and the Atlantic Highlands Historical Society.
