The Spring Networking and Red Carpet Gala to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters is just a few days away, this Friday April 15th, 5:30pm, at the Bella Vista Country Club in Marlboro. A number of well-known people from the local fashion scene will be attending. Here are a few of them:
Donnela Tilery is the founder of the New Jersey Fashion Week and the owner of DC Showroom, representing designers, stylists, models, and companies offering services in PR, marketing, sales, licensing and brand management. Her resume includes features and interviews with: Style Network, NJ Life Health & Beauty Magazine, Park Place Magazine, Modern Salon, NJ Monthly, 201 Magazine, Bergen County Magazine, Urban Style Network, Today MSN, Stylelist.com, AOL, Entrepreneur Expose, Real Beauty Real World, WWD, NY1, NJ News 12, WPHL 17, NJ Newsroom, Handbags to Know.com and CBS Detroit. She is also Fashion Group International’s NYC Chair of Membership and was featured on “The List” NJ’s Exclusive Magazine Park Place.
Helen Troncoso is the Ms. New York Belleza Latina 2011 and will represent New York at the International Pageant in August. While she resides in New York, she still considers New Jersey to be her “second home”. Helen lived in New Jersey for over 10 years, undergrad at Rutgers University and received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). She is also the VP for the NY Chapter of Tamika & Friends, Inc., an organization dedicated to raising awareness on cervical cancer and its link to HPV. Dr. Troncoso now dedicates most of her time as an advocate for women’s health issues.
Claire Pavlinec is the reigning Mrs. New Jersey USA, and she’s a regular guests of our events. She is a stay-at-home mother of two, a graduate student working on her master’s degree in education. Claire is the founder of Maternal Wings, a charity for expectant moms. She believes that every new baby is a gift to this big world and deserves to enter it in a safe environment with his/her basic needs being met and she volunteers many hours every week collecting, sorting and delivering baby products to those most in need. Her program has expanded and they now serve clients at several clinics throughout Ocean and Monmouth Counties as well as individual referrals from the community, pediatricians and the VNA.
