Celebrating 50 summers of family fun, Morey’s Piers & Beachfront Water Parks, located on the boardwalk of the Wildwoods, NJ, welcomes guests back to the piers for the unofficial start to summer on Memorial Day 2018 Weekend.
With the opening of Raging Waters Water Park on Saturday, May 26 guests can cool down on exhilarating water rides such as the River Adventure, Shotgun Falls, the 175,000-gallon interactive activity pool and two interactive kiddie play areas.
All three of Morey’s amusement piers – Mariner’s, Surfside, and Adventure – will be open Friday through Monday, May 25-28. Here’s what’s new at the Wildwood boardwalk this year:
- Wild Whizzer: The new family-friendly ride on Mariner’s Pier is a small spinning coaster with carts customized to look like personal hovercrafts. Patrons must be 48” tall to ride alone; 36” to 48” accompanied by a supervising companion; guests under 36” not permitted to ride.
- Pirates of the Wildwoods: Completely revamped for the 2018 season, the ride has refreshed interior scenes that have been painted with 3D fluorescent paints giving the illusion of movement when guests wear 3D glasses. Captain Bones, the ride’s cartoon mascot, leads guests on an interactive adventure to find the treasure of the Wildwood boardwalk. Located on Mariner’s Piers, riders must be 48” tall or accompanied by a responsible person.
- Additional Enhancements: This season Morey’s Piers will also install a new Coca-Cola branded stage at Mariner’s Pier near the Giant Wheel. Stellar Mojo kicks-off the summer shows on Father’s Day, Sunday June 17. The stage will also host Shore Stop Dance Convention pop-up performances, live entertainment, DJs, and additional shaded seating for guests. Other enhancements include solar panel installation on Hunts Pier and Wi-Fi for pier patrons.
