Red Bank Kicks Off the 2017 Holiday Season with a Flurry of Festivities

Red Bank RiverCenter, in conjunction with the Red Bank business community, announced a holiday event schedule filled with festivities for the entire family. Slated to commence on Friday, November 24, 2017, various holiday celebrations, from caroling to exploring store windows will be had throughout the Downtown area until December 24, 2017.

“Bringing holiday cheer to people of all faiths and nationalities throughout the community is an honor and privilege for every business in Red Bank,” commented James Scavone, executive director of RiverCenter. “The entire business community is overjoyed to celebrate this festive season with a variety of ways from the town lighting concert to the lighting of the menorah.”

2017 RED BANK ONE DAY HOLIDAY HAPPENINGS EVENTS:

Santa Express & Santa Parade: Friday, November 24, 2017, 6:30pm

Where in Little Silver: Santa Express departs from the Little Silver Train Station (Branch Ave, between Sycamore & Oceanport Aves)

Where in Red Bank:  Santa Express arrives at the Red Bank Train Station:

Cost: Free

Departure Time from Little Silver Train Station: 6:44 p.m. Once Santa arrives in Red Bank, he will lead the parade to Broad Street for the Town Lighting & Holiday Express Concert.

What: Santa rides into Red Bank from Little Silver for the annual Town Lighting & Holiday Express concert. Join Santa on the train in Little Silver or meet him at the Red Bank train station when he arrives. There’ll be festivities before the train arrives/departs, including the Kathryn Barnett dancers and the Atlantic Watch bagpipers. Once in Red Bank, Santa will board a firetruck and lead the parade to Broad Street for the Holiday Express Concert & Town Lighting.

Town Lighting with Holiday Express: Saturday, November 24, 2017, 7pm

Red Bank Holiday Express Christmas LightningWhere: Broad Street at Canal Street

Cost: Free

What: Red Bank Town Lighting with Holiday Express! Kick off the season with the annual Holiday Express Concert & Town Lighting. Now in its 25th year, Holiday Express will be rocking the streets with all of your favorite tunes plus plenty of special guests. The holiday lights will be lit for the first time this season during the concert. The Red Bank Fire Department will be on hand with free hot chocolate. And don’t miss the LIVE countdown to light the town with News 12 New Jersey! Friday, November 24, 2017, at 7:00 pm on Broad Street at Canal Street.

Town Menorah Lighting: Wednesday, December 13, 2017, 6:30pm

Where: Red Bank Train Station

Cost: Free

What: Celebrate the Festival of Lights during Red Bank’s annual Menorah Lighting! Gather with our community at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, Dec. 13th at the Red Bank Train Station for an evening that is beautiful and bright.

Pictures with Santa: Every Saturday & Sunday from November 25 – December 24, 2017, Noon – 4pm

Where: The Galleria

What: Santa is coming to Red Bank – every weekend! Take a trip to The Galleria at 2 Bridge Avenue to capture the perfect holiday picture with the jolliest man in town. Festive photo packages available by TSS Photography too!

Red Bank Horse & Wagon Carriage Rides

Holiday Horse & Wagon Rides: Every Saturday November 25 – December 23, 2017, 1:00pm – 5:00pm

Where: Board the wagon at one of two locations:

11 Bridge Avenue (near Danny’s Steakhouse)
26 Broad Street (near The Robinson Ale House)

Cost: Free

Holiday Harmonies: Every Saturday from Nov. 25 – Dec. 23, Noon – 3:00pm

What: Every Saturday from Nov. 25 – Dec. 23 immerse your ears in the various harmonies including traditional carolers, choirs, brass bands, handbells, rock, folk, and jazz as musicians fill the sidewalks of Red Bank.
