The fall is when things cool down at the Jersey Shore, but we keep the summer vibe going with lots of outdoor festivals. They’re all family events with fun for all ages, so if you plan to come down to the Jersey Shore in the fall of 2017, here are some of the coolest events to attend.
October 1: Pier Fest 2017. Jersey Shore’s premiere fall festival returns Pier Village in Long Branch for the 3rd year. Sunday October 1st, 12-4pm. Free event with live music, vendors, crafters, activities and much more.
September 3: Wildwood Block Party and Music Festival. Fox Park on Ocean Avenue, between Burk and Montgomery. A family festival including crafts, games, rides, great food and free live entertainment, Noon to midnight.
September 8-9: Ocean City Classic Car and Street Rod Show. Friday, cars will be displayed on the Tabernacle grounds, 1pm–6pm before proceeding to 13th & Asbury Ave for our first ever Sock Hop Block Party and Street Rod Display. Saturday cars will be displayed at the Tabernacle grounds from 8am–noon and then will proceed to the boardwalk to be displayed till 4pm.
September 9-10: Wine on the Beach Festival. Held on the sugar white sand south beach of Seaside Heights at Blaine Avenue. This upscale event will host a dozen New Jersey wineries and numerous food venues. Musical entertainment is scheduled for both days of the festival.
September 8-10: Asbury Park Oysterfest. One of Asbury’s biggest free festivals. Enjoy food, shopping and live music.
September 7-10: Roar to the Shore Motorcycle Rally. One of the largest motorcycle rallies in the Northeast. Daily vendors, live entertainment and activities surrounding the Wildwoods Convention Center and at Oak and Atlantic Ave.
September 15-16: Boots at the Beach Country Music Festival. Festival will be held along Olde New Jersey Avenue in North Wildwood, featuring country music, vendors, crafts and food on Friday 3-9pm and Saturday 10am-10pm. Admission to the festival is FREE!
September 16: Point Pleasant Festival of the Sea. Arnold Ave, downtown. Visitors sample dishes by area’s finest restaurants. Arts and Crafts, pony rides, hundreds of vendors, kiddie games, live entertainment and more.
September 16-17: Belmar San Gennaro Festival. Food, fun, games and live entertainment on Main St.
September 21-24: North Wildwood Irish Fall Festival. The largest Irish Festival on the East Coast on Olde New Jersey Ave. 4-day event celebrates Irish heritage w/ dancing, music, food, vendors and crafts. 8am-11pm daily. Also golf tournament, amateur boxing matches, Irish dance lessons, 5k run and 1 mile walk, pipe exhibition, Catholic Mass and concludes with a parade on Surf Ave on Sunday.
September 23-24: Que by the Sea BBQ Festival. Annual BBQ State Championship and Festival on Grant Ave in Seaside Heights. Sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society, it features contestants from throughout the tri-state area. The festival will include large BBQ vendors, artists and crafters, as well as retail vendors and all day musical entertainment.
September 24: Red Bank Guiness Oyster Festival. 12-7pm, in the White St parking lot. Huge family friendly, food, music, beer & wine festival celebrating the opening of oyster season. This event showcases Red Bank’s excellent restaurants and entertains thousands with continuous live music on two stages.
September 30: Sea Isle City Harborfest. This bay-side festival celebrates Sea Isle’s fishing and nautical history. Festival-goers will enjoy delicious seafood, live music, nautical display, crafts and specialty vendors. 11am-4pm at the Marina Complex.
September 30-October 1: Seaside Heights Oktoberfest. Featuring seasonal craft beer tastings, great bands all weekend long, authentic German food, artisans and crafters, beer garden, food trucks, and kids zone on the Boulevard.
October 7: Wildwood Seafood & Music Festival. FREE street fair from 11am-8pm on Atlantic Ave between Wildwood and Schellenger Ave. 2 stages of live music, crafters, food vendors, a pie eating contest and much more! A kids corner with activities including pumpkin painting, face painting and bounce houses.
October 7: Asbury Park Zombie Walk. Holds the record for the World’s largest gathering of Zombies! Walk starts at Convention Hall, 4pm.
October 8: Ocean County Columbus Day Parade. A Seaside Heights parade that is bound to delight young and old alike! The Annual Columbus Day Parade starts at 1:00 pm on the Boulevard.
