Looking for a day trip from the Jersey Shore? Located in Langhorne PA, about an hour from the Monmouth and Ocean counties shore areas, Sesame Place is a magical storyland that your kids will love! Will summer is the busiest time, when your family can enjoy both the rides and the waterpark, Sesame Place is a very cool attraction in the off-season too, with these two holiday-themed events:
The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular at Sesame Place
September 28 – October 27
Sesame Place, the nation’s only theme park based entirely on Sesame Street, will celebrate Halloween for five weekends this fall with The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular. On Saturday, September 28, Sesame Place will be transformed into a not-too-spooky Halloween haven featuring two themed mazes, a character hayride, three Halloween shows, and everyone’s favorite Sesame Street friends dressed in their Halloween attire.
During The Count’s Halloween Spooktacular, which runs through October 27, families are encouraged to come dressed in costume as they enjoy Sesame Place. Kids of all ages will enjoy the fall-inspired menu selections found throughout the park in its various restaurants. In addition to the park’s Spooktacular-focused attractions, Sesame Place’s dozen dry rides are open for guests to enjoy. For families seeking even more Halloween fun, Sesame Place will be hosting special events such as The Count’s Batty Birthday Bash, Abby Cadabby’s Fairy Pumpkin Party, Zoe’s Monster Mash Dance Party and Grover’s No-So-Spooky Birthday.
A Very Furry Christmas at Sesame Place
November 23 – December 31
A Very Furry Christmas at Sesame Place is designed to immerse guests in a winter experience that allows them to see the Christmas season through the eyes of our Sesame Street® characters. It’s a one-of-a-kind family-friendly celebration with everyone’s favorite Sesame Street friends. During the 20-day event, the park is transformed into a winter wonderland filled with thousands of lights, brightly decorated trees, and garland hung with toys, along with three Christmas shows, music, treats, rides and Santa Claus!
Crowd favorites are the Neighborhood Street Party Christmas Parade and the Sesame Place Furry Express, a trackless train ride which takes guests on a tour through the Twiddlebugs’ Gingerbread Cookie Factory and ends the journey with samples of their famous gingerbread treats.
Entering the park, guests are treated to a 25-foot Christmas tree that lights up the night in sync with Sesame Street holiday tunes. They can enjoy wintertime treats and Christmas sweets, along with Sesame Street-themed holiday shopping at the park’s gift shops. Santa Claus visits the park each evening to hear Christmas wishes and pose for photos at Santa’s Workshop, where everyone is greeted by joyful elf attendants.
