Red Bank Flavour Announces First-Ever Sippin’ On The River Event

Summer Festival to Offer Gourmet Food, Wine and Beer in Marine Park

Red Bank Events: Sippin on the RiverRed Bank Flavour, the culinary alliance responsible for such notable, borough-wide events as Holiday Flavour, Night on the Navesink and Party on the Promenade, announced plans to host the first-ever “Sippin’ on the River” event.  Slated for June 29 and 30, the inaugural festival will be held at Red Bank’s riverfront Marine Park and boast culinary samplings from the borough’s finest eateries, as well as wine, beer, live music and more.  A portion of proceeds from the all-day festival will benefit the Red Bank Volunteer Fire Department.

“Sippin’ on the River will present an opportunity for guests from around the state to experience Red Bank’s one-of-a-kind panoramas along the Navesink River while sampling some of the town’s most notable flavours.  More than a dozen restaurants will present a smorgasbord of summer samplings – from sushi and lobster rolls, to Jersey beer and wines, fresh squeezed lemonade, homemade chocolates and more,” commented George Lyristis, owner of Teak Restaurant and The Bistro at Red Bank.

Restaurants participating in Sippin’ on the River include, but are not limited to:  The Bistro at Red Bank, The Boondock’s Fishery, The Cheese Cave, Danny’s Grill and Wine Bar, Dish, The Downtown, Front St. Trattoria, Gaetano’s, Jamian’s, Lusty Lobster, New Corner Pizza, Readie’s Market Café, Red, Sicilia Café, Sugarush, Teak, Tony’s Sausage and more.
